Each cow's lock-in starts on the day that cow is bought. No exit request for a cow during its lock-in.
Step 3
Request exit
After each cow's lock-in
Choose all the cows that are eligible, or only a few. A cow is eligible once its own lock-in has ended. Payout is in cash.
Step 4
45-day process
Sale & settlement
Cow listed for transfer; a company-pool mechanism applies if no buyer emerges.

Good to know

Cash-only exit

On exit you receive the amount you invested in that cow, in cash, under the current terms set out in your investment agreement. It is not linked to the cow’s resale price, and you decide cow by cow. The cow itself cannot be taken instead of cash.

Each cow has its own lock-in date

The lock-in runs from the day each cow is bought, not from the day you register. A cow bought in January 2027 can request an exit from January 2028; one bought in March 2027 only from March 2028. Sale, transfer and settlement terms are governed by the final investment agreement.

Replacement

Cows age. Your investment stays with a productive cow.

FeedACow manages biological replacement rather than passing an old, depreciated animal to the investor.

At entry: ₹1.25 L / ₹2 L; A good adult milk-producing HF, Jersey or Desi cow.
Replacement: ~8–10 years; Aging cows may be sold and replaced under the herd-management program.
Asset value: ₹1.25 L / ₹2 L; Stated value by category; no appreciation promised.

Replacements may come from FeedACow's internally raised herd or externally sourced productive cows. The animal linked to your investment can therefore change over a long holding period.

The initial cap lets more people participate and allows FeedACow to scale responsibly.

Going beyond 5 cows is not automatic: it depends on operating experience, cow availability and revised limits.
